Coke oven batteries for stamping (tamped) coal blends
GIPROKOKS has successfully implemented the technology of preliminary densification (stamping of coal blends), which is increasingly used for producing coke from blends with up to 65% of low-caking coal content (compared to the traditional limit of 35%). The essence of the process lies in the closer packing of coal particles during stamping, which improves the caking behavior of the blend during carbonization and results in coke with high mechanical strength.
Dry Coke Quenching Unit
GIPROKOKS is a pioneer of modern dry coke quenching technology. The tightening of environmental regulations and the growing need to implement energy-efficient technologies for high-quality coke production — especially in the context of declining coal quality — make dry quenching a top priority for the near future.
Recovery and processing of chemical by-products from coking. Key design facilities include: units for recovering coking by-products, coke oven gas desulfurization units for producing sulfuric acid or elemental sulfur, crude benzol processing units, tar distillation units, plants for preparing various binders, tank farms for liquid products, warehouses for bulk materials, including packaging and loading systems, and deep purification units for coke oven gas intended for long-distance transmission.
All technologies and solutions for construction works are developed in full compliance with current regulations and standards, including local, construction, climatic, functional, engineering, technological, fire safety, sanitary, environmental, and economic requirements set by the Client.
GIPROKOKS develops the electrical engineering section of project documentation for new construction, reconstruction, and major overhauls of technological facilities and power supply systems at coke-chemical enterprises.
To protect water bodies from wastewater contamination, GIPROKOKS provides:
the separation of sewage systems based on their origin (stormwater, sludge, domestic, phenolic),
treatment units for sludge water used in wet dust removal and hydraulic cleaning systems, and facilities for mechanical and biochemical treatment of industrial phenolic wastewater, including the reuse of treated water within coke-chemical plants.
